Reviews from Satisfied Brides
Another Barn Wedding, Another Happily Ever After:
"We were lucky enough to have Kayla from A&E Weddings as our day-of coordinator. She was truly AMAZING! We met several times in the months leading up to our wedding and she was always super prepared and helpful at each meeting. As we got closer to the wedding date, she provided us with several documents to help ensure that the day moved along smoothly. I am the type of person who wants to control every detail, and Kayla let me do that, but was there with everything I didn't think of. She was there for our rehearsal dinner, and all day long until the end of our reception. She worked so very hard all day making sure everything was perfect for us. I honestly don't know how we would have made it through the day without her, and hiring her was one of the best decisions we made while wedding planning. Plus, she's a super nice and sweet person who is so easy for everyone to get along with! We so appreciate her and all of her help!"

A July Wedding at the Thompson Barn CAN'T Get Much Better Than This:
"Kayla was my wedding coordinator for the "Wedding Day Directing Package" (6 weeks out) and she seriously was THE best and I am SOOO glad I hired her for the day of! For the price and the content of the package, it was really worth every penny. I had a small wedding (less than 100 people), and I just needed someone other than my family member or my bridal party to do the coordination. Kayla seriously went above and beyond, and gave 110% to make my wedding special. Her coordination was top-notch. We had our meetings and I told her my vision - then she made every little thing come true. The whole process was super simple - I was able to book all the necessary vendors for the wedding. Then I provided her all the vendor contacts, family contacts, and wedding party contacts. Then she did her super amazing skills of organization and coordination to make my dream into reality. Everything went so smooth, which I was surprised since I thought at least one thing would go wrong during the wedding - but NOPE! Smooth sailing all the way. If she needed anything or if I needed anything, we were only an email/text/phone call away. She even gave me reminders about the marriage license, and made sure I was good to go/stress free for the day of. She also had this "Wedding Day Emergency Kit" which included things like a sewing kit, gum, hair clips, hair pins, hair spray, safety pins, brushes, band aids, and literally everything and ANYTHING for emergency situations. My family, bridal party, and I were all amazed how prepared Kayla was. Another thing that amazed me about Kayla - yes this is a business and she kept everything professional, but she also loves getting to know the bride because she loves hearing about how you two met, how you two got engaged, and loves anything romantic. I could see this was her passion and that she absolutely LOVED doing it. I interviewed one other wedding coordinator, and they didn't have the same feeling ... like they were just there to do business and that's it ... if that makes sense? She also picked up decorations and drinks on the day of and brought it all to the venue, directed the wedding guests to their chairs, where to sit, coordinated with the DJ to do the cues for the ceremony, helped cut the cake for all the guests, topped all the drinks/alcohol. Like, wow. What an amazing woman. Everything started on time, and she even helped with the breakdown/clean-up after the reception. Did I mention her decoration skill is top-notch??? It was funny because my uncle asked Kayla about the history of the venue at one point, and at first she didn't know. But 10 mins later she came back to him, and told him about the history and how the venue came to be. Turns out, she did her very best to find the on-site venue staff and asked the question. Then she came back to make sure she answered my uncle's question. Talk about dedication!!! She legit made sure everyone's questions were all answered. My family was very impressed at how she ran the wedding day, and how nice she was to everyone who attended. They can't stop complimenting how I made the right decision to hire her. A complete life saver. I was able to enjoy my special day without any stress. I highly recommend hiring A&E Weddings for your wedding coordination!!! Kayla, you are the best person. Thank you so much!!!"

"Emily was wonderful for our weekend. She was on top of everything and made sure everything looked as it should. We used Emily mainly for décor set up and transportation of items from multiple venues and she did a fabulous job. She helped find solutions for situations that didn't quite work out as we initially envisioned and was very communicative throughout the weekend."

An Oasis in Weston, MO at Eventful at Locust Grove:
"Emily was GREAT. We hired her for helping us with the last minute planning + day of coordination (6 weeks out from our wedding day). We felt confident that Emily (and her team) would make our day easy and stress-free. The meetings with Emily before our wedding were great for getting organized and staying on task. (The whole wedding party was so impressed with her "day-of" paperwork/time lines/spreadsheets, etc.)
We found out a few days before the wedding that the only road to and from our venue would be blocked for several hours. Emily did a great job with handling all the logistics of making sure everyone would be able to get to and from the venue in time . She was a life-saver!
The wedding day was so nice,; I had nothing to do but enjoy my special day, get ready, smile for the camera, and say I Do!
Would recommend to friends and family. A++.
Thanks Emily!! "

Cellar 222 Sets the Scene Again:
"Emily is fantastic! We booked Emily as our day of coordinator for our wedding and it was hands down the best decision we could have made. She took care of everything for us and left us to focus on enjoying our wedding day and not worrying about anything else but that. She worked with all of our vendors the day-of and coordinated all the details and put together a very detailed wedding day agenda and sent it out to all our vendors and wedding party. Our venue required complete set-up and tear-down and Emily made sure everything was set-up from tables & chairs to linens, flowers, cake, décor...all of it. She then made sure everything was cleaned up at the end of the night. She stayed until all the guests were gone and cleaned the entire venue and put away all the tables & chairs and made sure all of my wedding décor was returned to me just as I had given it to her to begin with. I can't say enough positive things about Emily and her kindness and professionalism. She truly knows what she's doing and she will do whatever it takes to make sure you don't worry about a thing on your wedding day! I highly recommend her!!!!"

"Emily did an amazing job as our coordinator. We had a multi-cultural crowd that made some of the elements (such as how many guests) unknown to us until the day of and she handled it tremendously! We met several times before the wedding in which she guided us in the right direction to take care of all the minor details we may have otherwise missed. Overall, our wedding could not have gone as perfectly as it did with out her help! If I could give 6/5 stars I would! Definitely recommend."

"My husband and I started searching for a wedding coordinator when our mothers began getting stressed out about the detailed planning of the wedding day. I am very 'Type A' so I had everything worked out and planned, but knew I couldn't be the one making it happen the day of. At first my husband didn't understand why we needed to hire someone when I had already planned everything, but after our initial meeting with Emily, he was sold. She jumped right in, understood the plans we'd made and helped us sort out all the details we'd been too overwhelmed to finalize. She took our dreams and made them a reality. The day went flawlessly and anything that didn't, Emily handled perfectly without us being bothered."

Beautiful Milldale Farms Barn Wedding:
"I contacted Emily because I needed someone for the day-of to help everything run smoothly and perform any last minute tasks that needed to be completed. Emily was great to work with, we met a few times to discuss my plans, what I had been doing up to each point and to get Emily on the same page as I. She made sure I was on the right track and helped me with any questions I had about the planning process. She also helped us with the rehearsal since I was using my Uncle as my officiant, who had never done a wedding before, we needed someone to guide us through it and Emily was really helpful in keeping everyone on track and telling everyone what they needed to do. She was so organized and gave everyone a copy of our day's schedule with contacts and everything. The day-of she made sure everything ran smoothly and I found out afterwards I had not made a plan for what people should do after the sparkler send off, but she quickly put something together and made sure everyone safely put out their sparkler!!
Overall, an amazing planner and organized person, very responsive to all my questions and great for someone like me who just needed someone else to help me stay organized and calm throughout the whole process! I would also say she is a great value, at least from my research when I was looking around in the beginning of my vendor search."

"Emily was, hands down, the best investment in our wedding planning process. I found her on The Knot, and immediately felt assured that all details would be managed, taken care of, and not problematic at all. We hired her for day-of service, and both my husband and I feel that she went above and beyond to make our day as perfect as possible. I think I was a pretty laid back bride (ha!), and really had no clue what I was doing. Emily knew the correct etiquette for everything from the order of the processional and what family photos to avoid to seating chart and music recommendations. My family is very loud and opinionated, so it was nice to have a referee during the planning and on the big day. I also feel like I should mention that she is one of the most organized people I've ever worked with. Emily was the planner for my sisters wedding too, and she knows that we are planning on her for the next two family weddings! Job perfectly done!!!"

A Harvest Wedding at Cellar 222:
"We were just married on 12/1/12 and Emily was our wedding coordinator. There are so many wonderful things to say about Emily and her work!! It's hard to know where to even start, I had to plan a home based wedding 75 days prior to our wedding date as our original destination wedding plans fell through. It was so incredible to come across her website on TheKnot.com, I called her immediately and she was already the most wonderful person!! From that day forward she was always in touch with me for details, and to make sure that things were going along as they should. She also helped me to remember the little details that I would of forgotten otherwise that really made our wedding great. On our wedding day she was a STAR!!! Without Emily our wedding day would of been so stressful, rushed and unorganized. She made it WONDERFUL!!! I was able to relax and get ready for our big day and actually enjoy our wedding day because of all her work and organization. If you are getting married in the KC area BOOK HER!! Your wedding day will be truly wonderful and you will both be able to relax knowing that Emily has your wedding under control. I truly cannot say enough about how big of an impact she had on our day and I cannot wait to see how successful she will become!! Outstanding vendor and highly recommended!!"

A Napa Valley Re-dedication:
"My husband, Chad, and I decided to have a re-dedication ceremony in the Napa Valley this past October to renew our vows, celebrate our married life so far, and share it all with our closest friends and family. Our three sons, their girlfriends, and some of our extended family and intimate friends joined us for a 3-day weekend full of fun activities. Emily helped us during the 3-day soiree by making sure we were all where we were supposed to be, making sure the caterer showed up and setup on time and correctly, and by being by my side to keep my nerves down and my spirits up. She was a tremendous blessing and I couldn't have gotten through the weekend without her!"

A Backyard Wedding in June:
"I had a short engagement and a minimum budget when Emily and I were planning my wedding. I also didn't take any time off from my day job to prepare, so everything had to be done in the evenings and on weekends. Emily was generous with her time and scheduled her availability around mine. She took care of many of the details that I couldn't or just plain didn't want to take care of myself! She did the research and prepared a whole book full of options for me on things like venues, caterers, and photographers, so I could just make my decision and save myself the legwork. Then she followed up by making the necessary phone calls for rentals and reservations. She designed my invitations herself. She helped me with all the "labor": we stamped and hand addressed all the envelopes, she helped me pick out my dress, baked my homemade wedding favors with me, and handcrafted many of my decorations with me.
I chose to have my wedding at home, and Emily made sure the ceremony went smoothly, made sure all my guests had everything they needed, and even helped tidy up along the way. The amount of time and dedication she showed will always be appreciated. I wouldn't have changed a single thing about my wedding.
I have known Emily for many years. She is super-organized, professional, and knows how to get things done! She has a wonderful eye for the "theatrical" aspect, design, and visual package of a wedding. She always respected my wishes without ever running me over. She really helped my ideas come to life. Without her help, I could never have had the wedding I wanted with my limited time and budget!"
